Bowman House is a 1970s former office building that OMI converted into student accommodation providing 140 studio bedrooms and common room facilities. The layout of the existing building suited the creation of studio bedrooms either side of a central corridor. These studios are configured to provide defined areas for cooking, eating, studying, washing and sleeping. Common areas have also been designed to encourage gathering and interaction between the students. A new facade to the roadside creates a positive change in building line along the street and signals the main entrance into the building.
