Planning Granted for One Heritage Tower

23.01.2020

One Heritage’s plans for a landmark residential tower in Greengate have taken a step closer today with the scheme being approved by Salford City Council’s Planning Committee.

The 55 storey residential development will be the tallest in Salford and will include one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as commercial space and major public realm improvements including a scenic river walkway.

One Heritage Tower will not only regenerate the existing site and deliver much needed housing, but will also complement Salford City Council’s aspirations for the wider Greengate area including a commitment to contribute to a new public square known as the ‘Market Cross’ which was the historic centre of the original settlement of Salford.

One Heritage Tower will complete the River Irwell frontage of the emerging Greengate quarter of Salford and act as a centre piece to the cluster of tall buildings that have recently been completed and are continuing to come forward on neighbouring sites

It is expected that construction will commence in 2020, with an estimated completion date of 2023/4.
