The Custard Factory

Work is nearly complete at our micro-project at the Custard Factory in Birmingham.

Substations aren’t known for being pretty but we’ve brought this one to life with a tessellating bird motif. The design draws inspiration from the original Bird’s Custard mascot, once manufactured on the site – now home to Digbeth’s creative quarter.

A lovely study in pattern, it adds a playful sense of identity while lighting up the entrance to this iconic creative hub.
