UK Green Building Council Report

Our retrofit of Havelock has been used as a case study for the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) report ‘Building the Case for Net Zero : Retrofitting Office Buildings’.

A number of different projects are highlighted for their different approaches, sizes and type of retrofit.

Havelock is noted for drastically reducing the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) from 174 to 72 (kWh/m2/yr), improving the EPC from D to A, achieving BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 5*.

We often make the case for retrofit over demolition and new build and so we’re proud to have Havelock selected as an example of sustainable retrofitting, something which will become more and more prevalent in the coming years.
